Great family atmosphere and quality breakfast
I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the family-friendly atmosphere and the quality of the breakfast. The full English breakfast was delicious and plentiful, which made our mornings enjoyable. The outdoor seating area provided a lovely space to relax and enjoy the sea view. the parking situation could definitely use some improvement.

A Disappointing Family Stay
The experience fell short of our expectations. The hosts were unwelcoming and seemed indifferent to guest needs. Upon arrival, we faced numerous issues, dirty rooms and lack of clear signage. We won't return after witnessing poor treatment of guests.

I checked into the Gainsborough during a weekend getaway, hoping for a pleasant stay. The location is really convenient. Close to the beach and local attractions, it made exploring easy. The room had an adequate sea view, which brought a nice vibe in the evenings. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, particularly during breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the full English was quite tasty but the limited hours were a hassle. I felt rushed trying to get there in time. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. there was visible dust in corners and the bathroom could use a thorough deep clean. The TV connection was poor, making it hard to enjoy any channels. One major downside was the parking situation. The car park was smaller than expected, and I had to circle the area for quite a while before finding a spot. some updates in cleanliness standards and parking management could improve the experience a lot.

We stayed for two nights in a Family Room and found it a great base for our Blackpool trip. The breakfast options catered well to my kids, and the staff made us feel welcome. The parking situation, however, could be improved, given the limited spaces available.

Enjoyable stay with great breakfast
I had a lovely stay, with a spacious family room that was clean and well-maintained. The buffet-style breakfast was particularly impressive, featuring a delicious selection of both hot dishes and cereals. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore local attractions. the parking situation could be improved as it was quite cramped.

Not worth the money
We booked a double room and it was a bit of a letdown. The wallpaper was falling off, and the bathroom could’ve used a serious clean. They said the bar was open, but it was only for a short time. At least the location was nice and the view from our room was decent. Just a shame about the rest.

Make sure to ask about the unique breakfast options—they are tailored to your preferences and are well worth it.

The breakfast offered a solid variety, filling enough to kick off a day of exploration, complemented by some delightful entertainment organized for the evening. Rooms maintained suitable bedding for a group weekend, making it a pretty decent choice for gathering friends or family.
Finding a parking space was a real pain, especially with only a tiny lot that could accommodate just a few cars—had to search for alternatives for what felt like forever. Some of the everyday amenities left a bit to be desired. I ended up discovering the lack of basic essentials like soap when I just wanted to clean up. It was also a tad annoying having to pay extra for a TV remote and discovering the limited channels available, which makes you wonder if the cost for these upsells is worth it.
